One question, start to finish

You know the feeling.

The interviewer asks a question you were not expecting. Your mind goes blank. You stumble through a half-formed answer while that little voice says "you should have prepared more."

It does not matter how good you are at your job. Interview performance and job performance are completely different skills. One bad answer, one awkward pause, and the opportunity vanishes.

What if you could rehearse with an interviewer who talks back, walk in knowing exactly where you stand, and have a prep companion that listens alongside you, knows who said what, and surfaces the well-prepared answer from your own CV, in a workspace of your own?

02Mock interview

Rehearse with an interviewer that actually talks back.

Not a quiz. A real conversation with an AI interviewer that speaks, listens, waits for you to finish, and follows up on what you said. It runs inside the same private overlay as a live interview, so the rehearsal feels exactly like the real thing.

One credit covers up to 45 minutes

  • Natural voice conversation: no clicking, no typing, just talk. It even handles "can you repeat that?"
  • The round type drives the questions: phone screen, technical, behavioral, system design or hiring manager
  • Ten voices, and every one speaks all 11 languages natively
  • The live assistant runs alongside, so you can rehearse with or without help
  • 45 minutes on one credit, then a full transcript, report and delivery coaching

It talks, and it listens

A spoken conversation. It asks, waits for you to finish, and follows up on what you actually said. Nothing to click between answers.

One credit, 45 minutes

A mock runs up to 45 minutes on a single credit. A live round uses one credit for up to 60 minutes, and an extra credit extends it.

It ends with a debrief

Full transcript, a scored report with a card per question, and delivery coaching, exactly like a real round.

Your workspace

Everything for one application, on one page.

Match analysis, job description and CV on the left. Prep tools, progress and rounds in the middle. What comes next on the right.

Match analysis

A score, your strengths, the gaps, likely questions and talking points, from your CV and the job description.

Progress across rounds

Report scores and delivery numbers round after round, so you can see the coaching pay off.

Up next

Scheduled rounds with calendar links and a reminder, and one click to start when it is time.

03Before the call

Walk in knowing exactly where you stand.

Add the job description and your CV once. VeilPrep tells you how well you match, what to emphasize, what to shore up, and gives you a deck to drill from.

Match analysis

  • Match analysis: a score, your key strengths, the gaps, likely questions and talking points
  • Prep deck: the most likely questions for this round with model answers, editable like flashcards
  • STAR story bank: save your best stories once; the live assistant pulls the right one when a behavioral question lands
  • Warm-up: a free three-question voice drill with a suggested answer you can peek at

Every round starts prepared.

After each report, VeilPrep keeps a few short coach notes on how you answer and what you are working on. The live assistant, the mock interviewer, the next report and the question bank all read them, so the help fits you a little better every round.

Notes only ever describe how you answer: length, structure, specificity, strengths, preferences and goals. Never personality or personal traits

Every round ends with a debrief.

When the round ends, VeilPrep writes a structured report from the full transcript: a score per dimension with a note, one card per question with its rating, and concrete next steps you can act on with one click.

Know exactly who said what.

Most interview assistants use a single microphone and guess who is speaking. VeilPrep separates your voice from the interviewer's automatically. Two separate audio streams. Zero confusion.

Six round types. Each one prepared its own way.

You pick the type when you create the round. It changes the questions in your prep deck, the way the mock interviewer runs the conversation, and the shape of the answers you see live.

Prep deck: why this role, your last two years in two sentences, notice period, salary range.

Live: short and warm. Three lines, not three paragraphs, because the recruiter is filling in a checklist.

Mock: a friendly pace with the practical questions a screen really asks.

You decide how much help shows up.

The type says what the round is about. The mode says how much you get: a full answer, three talking points, a small nudge, or nothing at all until you ask. You switch modes from the overlay, mid-round, without touching your call.

Idempotent consumers first: dedupe on the event id in the same transaction as the ledger write, so a replay is a no-op.

Transactional producer for the re-keyed topic: the old-key read and the new-key write commit together.

Say the trade-off: transactions cost throughput, and you accepted that because the topic moves money.

Auto: questions are answered as they land. Turn it off and nothing appears until you press Cmd+Shift+A

One language for everything.

Pick your language once. The interface, transcription, answers, the AI interviewer's voice, your prep deck and your report all follow it. Text you paste in another language stays readable, whether it reads left to right or right to left.

Native-speaker voices for the mock interviewer and warm-up in every language

Your prep material stays yours.

Your notes, your CV and your prep are personal working material, and a shared screen should not put them in front of the room. VeilPrep keeps its window out of screen sharing and recording with the operating system's own content protection, the same mechanism a banking app uses for your balance. What is appropriate during a live round is your call: check your interview's rules and applicable law.

FAQ

Common questions

No. Your notes, CV and suggestions are personal working material, and VeilPrep uses the operating system's own content protection so that screen sharing and recording tools (Zoom, Teams, Meet, Discord, OBS and others) do not capture its window. This is the same mechanism a banking app uses to keep your balance out of a screen recording. What is appropriate to use during a live round is your call: check your interview's rules and applicable law (see our Terms).

Yes. It speaks, listens, waits for you to finish, follows up on what you said, and handles "can you repeat the question?" like a person would. There is nothing to click between answers. It runs in the same private overlay as a live interview, with the live assistant available alongside, so the rehearsal feels like the real thing. A mock uses one credit for up to 45 minutes.

English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Japanese, Arabic, Chinese, Hindi and Korean. You choose one language and everything follows it: the interface, transcription, answers, the interviewer's voice, the prep deck and the report. Arabic gets a full right-to-left interface. Text in another language, such as an English job description, keeps its own direction.

Yes. When you create a round you pick its type: phone screen, technical, behavioral, system design, hiring manager, or other, where you describe the format yourself. The prep deck and the mock interviewer ask what that round would really ask, and the live answers take its shape: short and warm for a phone screen, STAR stories for behavioral, precise substance for technical, phased structure for system design, scope and impact for a hiring manager.

The type is what the round is about, and you set it when you create the round: phone screen, technical, behavioral, system design, hiring manager or your own description. The mode is how much help appears while you are in it, and you switch it from the overlay at any moment: Auto answers questions as they land, Key points gives you three bullets instead of full text, Hint gives a nudge for rehearsal, and the System design companion lays out requirements, architecture and trade-offs. You can also turn everything off and press Cmd+Shift+A only when you want it.

All of them. VeilPrep works independently of your video call application: Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, phone calls, anything that produces audio on your computer. No plugins or extensions needed.

VeilPrep captures two separate audio streams: your microphone and the interviewer's audio output. Since each speaker is on a dedicated channel, speaker identification is exact. None of the guesswork of single-mic solutions.

Each credit gives you one live interview of up to 60 minutes, or one mock interview of up to 45 minutes, with every feature unlocked. A mock is shorter on the same credit because the AI interviewer speaks as well as listens. If a live interview runs longer, an additional credit extends it seamlessly. Match analysis, the prep deck, the story bank and warm-ups do not use credits. Credits are valid for 12 months from purchase, so buy them when you need them.

The round is saved with its full transcript and every answer the assistant offered. VeilPrep then writes a report: a scoring summary per dimension, each question with what went well and what to improve, key strengths, areas to work on and concrete action items, plus delivery coaching on talk-time balance, filler words and answer length. You can regenerate the report at any time.

Only what you can see. After each report it may keep up to three short coach notes about how you answer (for example "answers run long before the point lands"), capped at twelve in total. They are used to shape live answers, mock interviews, reports and the question bank, and nothing else. You can read, edit and delete every note in Settings, or turn the feature off, and they are deleted with your account. Notes never describe personality, emotions or personal characteristics; the AI is instructed accordingly.
